Eraoil

Eraspec Oil
ERAOIL and ERASPEC OIL provide rapid, laboratory-grade analysis of used lubricants for comprehensive oil condition monitoring.
Together, the analyzers examine two critical aspects of lubricant health: elemental wear and contamination and oil degradation and composition.
Key Features
- Fast analysis with results available in seconds
- Laboratory-grade measurements for on-site or in-house testing
- Minimal sample preparation
- Small sample volumes
- Automated measurement and data evaluation
- Trending of oil condition over time
- Support for international ASTM, DIN and JOAP methods
- Results storage, reporting and LIMS connectivity
- Suitable for predictive and condition-based maintenance
ERAOIL – a rotating disc electrode optical emission spectrometer (RDE-OES) designed to identify wear metals, contaminants and additives in lubricating oils and other operating fluids. It can measure up to 32 elements in approximately 30 seconds, with sub-ppm detection limits for most elements. Applications include engine oils, hydraulic fluids, gear oils, fuels, coolants and other industrial fluids.
ERASPEC OIL is a FTIR lubricant analyzer for monitoring changes in oil chemistry during operation. It measures parameters associated with oxidation, nitration, sulfation, water, soot, fuel dilution, and additive depletion, while calculated properties such as TAN and TBN can also be determined using appropriate chemometric models and libraries.
How It Works
A small sample of used oil is introduced directly into the analyzer. ERAOIL uses RDE-OES to determine elemental concentrations, while ERASPEC OIL uses mid-infrared FTIR spectroscopy to identify chemical changes in the lubricant.
Results can be compared with previous samples to establish trends, alarms and changes in oil condition, supporting early detection of abnormal wear, contamination, and lubricant degradation.
With rapid, repeatable oil analysis, maintenance teams can move from periodic laboratory testing to proactive, condition-based maintenance; helping identify developing problems, reduce unplanned downtime, and optimize oil change intervals.
Applications
Engines | Gearboxes | Hydraulic Systems | Turbines | Compressors | Industrial Machinery | Diesel & Gas Turbines | Heavy Equipment

Eracheck Eco

Eracheck X
The ERALYTICS ERACHECK ECO and ERACHECK X provide fast and reliable analysis of oil and hydrocarbons in water and wastewater. They are designed for applications requiring accurate determination of Total Oil and Grease (TOG), Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) and, with the ERACHECK X, Fats, Oil and Grease (FOG).
These analyzers use solvent extraction followed by non-dispersive mid-infrared (NDIR) spectroscopy, providing rapid and repeatable results without the need for solvent evaporation.
Key Features
- ASTM D8193 compliant oil-in-water analysis
- Measurement of TOG, TPH and FOG
- Fast analysis with results available within minutes
- Measurement ranges of up to 1,000 mg/L (ECO) and 3,000 mg/L (X)
- High sensitivity for low-level oil contamination
- CFC-free solvent extraction using cyclohexane
- Direct measurement of the extract, reducing loss of volatile hydrocarbons
- User-defined calibrations and correlations
- Large internal data storage and LIMS connectivity
- Designed for reliable laboratory and field applications
How It Works
A water sample is extracted with an appropriate solvent to separate hydrocarbons from the aqueous phase. The resulting extract is then analyzed using mid-infrared spectroscopy. Hydrocarbon absorption in the infrared region is measured and converted into the concentration of oil in the original water sample.
The method is fast, requires minimal sample preparation and avoids the solvent evaporation step associated with gravimetric techniques.
The ERACHECK ECO is optimized for laboratory oil-in-water analysis, offering TOG and TPH determination, a detection limit of 0.5 mg/L, and an optional 10-position autosampler for higher sample throughput.
The ERACHECK X is a portable, rugged solution for on-site analysis, providing TOG, TPH and FOG measurement with results in approximately 5 minutes, including extraction. Its compact design and 12 V DC operation make it suitable for field applications.
